David Alge

David Alge is an experienced executive with 25+ years spent successfully building and leading non-profit, mission-driven, healthcare organizations.  David has been a Senior Vice President at an academic medical center leading a 1,000 physician multi-specialty physician group, the Associate Dean for Operations at medical school, the vice-president managing an organization’s strategy and financial planning teams, a front line practice administrator at a public, safety net hospital and a counselor at a residential treatment program for emotionally disabled children.

David is a dynamic and results-oriented former senior executive who seeks to leverage an extensive background in strategic planning, change management and operations in a consulting role for a non-profit organization.  He has a career-long record of building and leading teams, communicating across the organization, and developing and implementing innovative solutions to strategic and operational challenges.

David has a proven ability to align all parts of the organization – board, management and staff – to achieve quick and lasting organizational change.  He believes that sustainable change results from the alignment of systems and teams with the mission and related strategies of the organization and works to build that alignment through clear and open two-way communication, team building and mentorship.

David has a collaborative leadership style and a demonstrated ability to build and manage high performing teams through challenging times. Throughout his career David was frequently tapped to lead an organization’s more challenging projects, both turnarounds and startups.  His consistent success with those projects has been fueled by his desire to work with others to solve problems in the service of a mission-driven organization.

David prides himself on eliciting the contributions of the team and places significant value on being a supportive leader. He workis to set up team members for individual recognition and success while they all work to achieve and sustain the organization’s mission and goals.

David currently lives In New York with his wife of 40+ years and their two dogs where he is a regular volunteer for Feeding Westchester.  He enjoys making and taking in art, hiking, biking and reading. He earned a BA in Psychology from Southern Illinois University and his MBA from Baruch College.
