Alison Curry

Alison Davis Curry leads strategic growth with social advocacy, marketing, and development in the nonprofit sector and cultivates CSR and ESG programs in the for-profit sector. Through a combination of roles in consulting, nonprofit leadership and board work, Alison unites leadership behind a renewed sense of purpose, and develops strategies and flight plans that drive sales and influence behaviors. She loves working with organizations whose staff and leadership are committed to creating equity through social responsibility.

Alison began her career in the development department of the Institute of Contemporary Art, London; founded and ran the development department for the Art Directors Club; and served as the Executive Director of NYDG Foundation, improving medical wellness in underserved populations. Her for-profit career includes developing a thriving imprint for MacMillan Publishing; launching OBERLAND, a cause-marketing firm voted small agency of the year in 2019, and running Curry, Curry & Co – a marketing firm that creates CSR & ESG operations and communications for for-profit firms, and builds sustainability and profitability in not-for profits.

Alison is a Climate Leader, long standing Board Member of Haiti Cardiac Alliance; former Board Member of Hunger Free America, fka NYCCAH, New York City Coalition Against Hunger, and served as Board Chair for their transformational change from a NYC direct service organization to add national policy to their mission and service; a NYC Learning Leader; and a founding board member of Humane USA PAC. Alison is an active mentor with PENCIL, working with NYC high-school students to develop entrepreneurship skills, and with Coalition for the Homeless, to support women re-entering the workforce.

A life-long learner, Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts, History of Art, University of Pennsylvania, a certificate in Public Advocacy and Nonprofit Leadership from Fordham University, a certificate in Interim Executive Leadership from Third Sector Company, is an alumna of Seth Godin’s altMBA; Sustainable Business Strategy, Harvard Business School, and is currently pursuing a certification as a Water Sommelier.
