As a seasoned business management professional, Kathryn has more than 20 years of non-profit management experience, including roles as a founding Executive Director, Chief of Staff, and frequently as an Interim Executive. She is a long-standing member of Nonprofit Interim Executives.
Having served in more than ten interim roles as CEO, Executive Director, and COO, Kathryn has a proven adaptability to meet an organization where it is on its organizational life cycle. Her assignments have ranged from 3-18 months, serving organizations with budgets from $1-$35 million and diverse missions from education, advocacy for rare diseases and women’s health, to membership, grant-making and service delivery. She is familiar with the challenges and opportunities of legacy organizations, the founder-led, as well as the newly formed.
Kathryn’s leadership style blends coaching with an emphasis on metrics and accountability. While serving as an executive director, the organization under her leadership received the Washington Post Excellence in Non-Profit Management Award. She has attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education, is a graduate of Georgetown University’s Organizational Development Program, and is an ACC certified coach. Kathryn’s undergraduate studies were completed at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
