Brian Harrington brings 35 years of experience in early-stage and high-growth technology companies to help not-for-profit organizations develop disciplined, effective approaches to executing their missions, including fostering data-driven decision-making. He believes a not-for-profit’s secret weapon is its human capital, and his goal is to provide leadership and growth opportunities for staff during periods of transition. Most recently, Brian served in an interim executive capacity at the Boston Symphony Orchestra, where he oversaw marketing, public relations, front-of-house, ticketing, and food and beverage operations at both Symphony Hall and Tanglewood.

Previously, Brian co-founded Hana, a flexible workspace operating company backed by CBRE and acquired by Industrious in 2021. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Zipcar, which was acquired by Avis Budget Group in 2013. Throughout his career, he has led marketing, product, and operations teams. Brian is the principal of Nobska Partners, LLC, which invests in early-stage consumer and medical technology companies, and an adjunct professor at Boston College, where he teaches entrepreneurship in the university’s degree-granting prison education program at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution–Shirley. Brian splits his time between Newton and Falmouth, Massachusetts.
