Shailushi Baxi Ritchie is an experienced interim CEO, consultant, coach, and board member with more than 25 years’ experience in mission-driven organizations focused on women’s and children’s health and safety, mental health, homelessness, and other key health and human service issues. Her experience includes a range of nonprofit settings, including a national policy thinktank, a state-based philanthropic foundation and numerous small and medium sized organizations, from which she has developed and honed a full range of skills for effective nonprofit management.
Shailushi approaches interim leadership with optimism, energy, and a desire to foster alignment among all major stakeholders, including board members, staff, supporters, and community partners. Shailushi is known for her ability to identify organizational challenges quickly and to deftly create process and policy solutions to address those challenges. She brings a sense of camaraderie to every workplace she is invited to join and pays particular attention to an organization’s staff and board cultures, engaging in both with nuance and compassion.
Shailushi’s training has focused on learning the skills needed for effective interim leadership. She is certified in Interim Executive Leadership and in Succession Planning by the Interim Executives Academy and has several continuing education certificates, including in Change Management from Cornell University and Organizational and Industrial Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (now known as The Chicago School). She is also a certified Technology of Participation (TOP) facilitator and is a certified Enneagram coach, both of which she applies to her work as a coach and interim leader. Her formal education includes a Master of Public Health in Health Education/Health Behavior from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University.
