Michael Rogovin is a seasoned interim executive and operations leader with more than three decades of experience guiding non-profits, higher education institutions, and government agencies. He provides the stability, objectivity, and strategic foresight, maintaining continuity during leadership gaps or structural shifts.

With a combination of a lawyer’s disciplined problem-solving and a compassionate, collaborative leadership style Michael serves as a high-level “thought partner,” helping boards navigate “chaos” with a steady hand. An extensive operational breadth includes finance, strategic plan assessment, facilities, technology, risk assessment, and executive recruitment.

Michael has secured competitive federal security enhancement grants totaling $375,000, a $17 million operating budget and $4 million capital budget, modernizing IT infrastructure, significantly enhancing efficiency and productivity (such as a 74% reduction in procurement costs). He has served as Executive Director of Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley, Vice President of Operations at New York Medical College, and positions (including Chief of Staff) at CUNY City College and CUNY Law School. His experience also includes serving as General Counsel for the NYC Independent Budget Office and Deputy Counsel for the Queens Borough President’s Office, and associate at the prestigious law firm Kaye Scholer (now Arnold & Porter). He has served as a consultant and interim at several organizations, including at Brooklyn College (Interim Executive Director of Operations) and Yeshivat Chovevei Torah (Interim Chief of Staff).

A dedicated community leader, Michael resides in Teaneck, NJ, where he has served as the founding chair of the Teaneck Sustainability Advisory Board and President of Congregation Netivot Shalom. He holds a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Applied Science from Washington University in St. Louis. His professional credentials are further bolstered by certificates from the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Management Development Program and the Support Center’s Interim Executive Leadership Institute.
