Melissa Segal - InterHuman Solutions

Melissa Segal, LCSW, a facilitator and the founder of InterHuman Solutions, partners with nonprofits, healthcare systems, and academic institutions to create cultures where people feel valued, supported, and equipped to succeed. Drawing on her extensive experience in the field, she designs and delivers trainings, facilitates conflict resolution using restorative practices, coaches leaders and team members, and provides culture consultations, change management, and strategic planning. An engaging extrovert and seasoned trainer, Melissa blends deep listening with evidence-informed frameworks to help organizations transform communication, elevate inclusion, and unlock collective success.

Melissa also has over 25 years of experience managing all aspects of business operations. She has developed and implemented strategic plans, facilitated meetings and trainings, streamlined workflows to maximize efficiency and accuracy, worked with internal and external stakeholders, directed communications and information technology, and managed human resources. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations navigate complex problems and continuously improve their programs. Past roles include serving as a non-profit Executive Director, a Senior Business Manager for a large research department, and Senior Director of Culture & Well-being for a large health system.

During her career, Melissa has launched and administered myriad projects, professional organizations, and educational programs. For example, she co-founded and then served as president of two national professional associations; she helped launch a new large-scale science initiative; and she co-founded a new master’s program. Over the years, she has developed curricula, created partnerships across institutions, and collaborated on new and ongoing programs.

Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts from Duke and her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania.
