Melissa Cecchine is a senior-level financial executive and CPA with more than 26 years of experience leading, stabilizing, and revitalizing finance and operations for mission-driven organizations. She has served as a strategic partner to executive leadership teams, combining financial rigor with thoughtful, collaborative leadership to help organizations navigate growth, complexity, and change.

Throughout her career, Melissa has overseen all aspects of finance and operations, including financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting, cash and investment management, and HR oversight. She is known for building strong financial infrastructures that support organizational sustainability while aligning resources with mission and strategic priorities. Her experience spans a wide range of nonprofit and association environments, including 501(c)(3), 501(c)(6), and political action committee (PAC) organizations.

A trusted liaison to boards of directors, finance and investment committees, external auditors, investment consultants, and banking partners, Melissa excels at translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making at both the executive and board levels.

Her contributions include service on the GWSCPA Women’s Leadership and Nonprofit Committees, as well as board service as Treasurer for Promicrofinance International, a microfinance organization supporting economic development in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She has also volunteered her expertise as a coach for nonprofit financial executives through the Coaching Initiative, mentoring peers and strengthening financial leadership across the sector.
