K C Gauldine is an accomplished executive leader and organizational development professional who has been dedicated to the non-profit industry for more than 30 years. Prior to her non-profit service, she gained invaluable business skills in the for-profit industry, maximizing a strong blend of management and leadership skills and expertise to execute superior planning, decision-making, negotiations and financial management.
As a strategic partner she strives to empower organizations to focus on the highest-impact activities to amplify effectiveness, drive mission-critical initiatives across the organization and ensure that ideas are put into action. She is passionate about building capacity and strengthening operations to deliver on the organization’s mission and vision.
K C’s service includes the arts and culture, education, environment, health care, social services and government. As an Interim CEO, she has been recruited to serve very diverse non-profit organizations with complex, multifaceted issues in Santa Fe NM, Houston TX, Indianapolis IN, and Washington State. Examples include stabilizing an international green building organization with satellites in London, Italy, Australia and New Zealand; revitalizing and innovating a 25-year-old children’s museum; renewing & realigning an animal welfare organization, while managing the collective bargaining process with the Teamsters Union; and branding the newly merged Big Brothers & Big Sisters organizations while managing the completed construction of its new building. As an organizational development consultant, K C has guided organizations through significant long-term organizational change and leadership development, strategic planning, leadership transitions and succession planning.
She has utilized the leadership expertise gained from the non-profit and for-profit industries into board service and mentoring new leaders and entrepreneurs. As a board member, she has served in the roles of the President and Committee Chairs. Her board service includes leadership training, early learning, organizational development networks, arts and green building. In addition, she has served as a judge and a team mentor /business advisor for the University of Washington-Foster School of Business global entrepreneurial competitions, as an Antioch University graduate student field advisor, and as a pro-bono consultant for organizational development networks supporting young non-profit organizations.
K C received her B.S. degree from Indiana University in marketing and finance, and fund raising certifications from the I.U. Center on Philanthropy. She obtained her M.A., A.B.S. degree in organizational psychology & development from Bastyr University. In addition, she has obtained certifications in Executive Leadership, Appreciative Inquiry & Whole Systems IQ Coaching & Consulting, ROI Mental Model Executive Coaching, Interim Executive Director and Succession Planning.
