Summary:
Experienced financial executive in higher education, not-for-profit, and professional services industry. Creative, experienced recruiter of talent, with emphasis on the senior levels.

Recent Interim Higher Education Experience:
10 years of functioning as Interim CFO at 8 small colleges and universities in the mid-Atlantic and northeast regions. Many schools were encountering leadership changes and financial challenges. I was able to quickly establish myself as a campus leader and lead teams which improved the financial conditions I encountered.

Previous Experience:
Worked as a financial executive primarily in professional services firms. My career began at Arthur Andersen & Co., at the time, the premier Big 8 public accounting firm. I began as an auditor and mover internally to direct the office administration functions supporting a 600-person profitable office.

Entrepreneurial Experience:
Was a co-founder and principal for 13 years of a search firm focused on placing accounting and finance professionals. Grew the business from incorporation to a $6M very profitable operation, which eventually sold to a large national firm.

Personal:
Grew up in Ridgewood NJ, spent most of my summers in Jaffrey NH and spent nearly my entire adult career living in and around Boston. Moved to West Virginia in 2017 to take an interim CFO assignment and have now established that as my home. Very open to travel and temporary relocation. My major outside interest is umpiring softball from youth to Division II collegiate games.
