Alisa Chatinsky has dedicated more than 30 years to helping nonprofit organizations achieve sustainable success. She applies a disciplined, business-oriented approach to nonprofit management, guiding CEOs/executive directors and boards to balance mission-driven goals with sound financial practices.
While focusing on the best interests of those we serve is of utmost importance, we cannot do so without generating a surplus,” Alisa notes. “It is the responsibility of every organization to diversify its funding sources and reinvest its profits to ensure long-term mission achievement.
Alisa’s extensive experience spans executive and development leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer, Associate Director, and Director of Development positions primarily within the social benefit sector. Besides her interim expertise, her proficiency includes organizational assessments, capacity building, board training and development, strategic planning, marketing, fund development, succession planning, grant writing, and the design and execution of large-scale special events.
Prior to entering nonprofit leadership, Alisa owned and managed a successful advertising, public relations, and marketing firm, where she specialized in serving nonprofit clients.
In 2012, she founded NPO Success, LLC, integrating her business acumen with her deep commitment to the nonprofit sector. Through NPO Success, Alisa partners with organizations to assess needs, clarify goals, and implement strategies that drive measurable outcomes. Her ability to connect the right people with the right resources is one of her key strengths. Alisa works effectively with both emerging and established organizations, tailoring her approach to align with each stage of the nonprofit lifecycle.
Alisa received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism with an emphasis in advertising, marketing, and public relations and minor in marketing from Northern Arizona University. She received a Nonprofit Executive Certificate from Arizona State University in 2015. Other specialty training includes—

The bulk of Alisa’s work has been in Arizona, Washington and California, but she is happy to look at assignments wherever she is needed.
