Gina Burkhardt

Gina Burkhardt is an accomplished executive leader and consultant with extensive experience helping organizations strengthen leadership, expand impact, and navigate growth and change. With a career spanning nonprofit leadership, education, workforce development, and research organizations, she brings a strategic and practical approach to organizational development, board engagement, fundraising, talent development, and executive leadership.

Most recently, Gina served as President and CEO of the Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology (BCAT). Prior to that role, she held senior leadership positions with several nationally recognized organizations, including Senior Vice President at the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), CEO of Jobs for the Future, Executive Vice President of the American Institutes for Research (AIR), and CEO of Learning Point Associates (LPA), where she led the organization through its successful merger with AIR.

Known for her collaborative leadership style and ability to guide organizations through transformation, Gina works with leaders and teams to build strong organizational cultures, develop effective governance practices, strengthen fundraising strategies, and support long-term sustainability and growth. Her experience includes working with boards, executive teams, foundations, educational institutions, and mission-driven organizations across the country.

Gina holds a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed Executive Education studies at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has served on numerous professional and nonprofit boards throughout her career and remains actively engaged in community and civic leadership.

Originally from Auburn, New York, Gina has lived and worked in Buffalo, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., and the Netherlands, bringing a broad perspective and global awareness to her consulting work. She has been recognized with several professional honors, including being named a 2024 Woman of Influence by Buffalo Business First and selected as one of the 2026 Buffalo Mayor’s Women of the Year.

Outside of her professional work, Gina is an active volunteer, dedicated runner, proud rescue dog owner, and someone who values humor, authenticity, and meaningful relationships in both leadership and life.
