JWigand Headshot - Jamie Wigand

Jamie Wigand, CAE, is a nonprofit executive who helps organizations move through change with clarity, confidence, and strong execution. With more than a decade of leadership across national associations and mission-driven organizations, she is known for building practical systems, strengthening decision-making, and creating cultures where people can do excellent work without burning out.

Jamie has served as Executive Director and senior executive leader across organizations at different stages of maturity, from early formation to established national networks. Her work translates board priorities into executable plans, aligning teams around clear roles and rhythms, and ensuring the financial and operational infrastructure matches the organization’s ambitions. Her work is future-facing: building clarity, strengthening systems, and leaving the organization better positioned than she found it.

In interim and transition contexts, Jamie is valued as a steady, credible presence – someone who can step in, listen quickly, and lead without drama. She brings a disciplined approach to governance and operating cadence, with a focus on what makes organizations durable: clear accountability, transparent communication, and decision pathways that staff and volunteers can actually follow. She does not impose change for its own sake. Instead, she evaluates what’s working, tightens what’s unclear, and builds the conditions for the next leader to succeed.

What sets Jamie apart is how she leads. She combines directness with warmth, and high standards with humanity. She builds trust quickly across roles and personalities, board members, staff, volunteers, sponsors, and partners, and is especially effective in environments where there’s strong mission commitment and a need for sharper structure. Her leadership style is collaborative and non-hierarchical, grounded in the belief that healthy culture is a performance strategy, not a perk. People do their best work when expectations are clear, feedback is honest, and leadership is steady.

She brings deep association expertise as a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and as Chair of the CAE Registered Provider Committee at American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where she helps shape the standards and systems that support CAE-eligible education across the field. That work reflects how she shows up as an interim leader: governance-literate, outcomes-driven, and clear-eyed about what it takes to build durable member value and strong operating discipline.
