Gina H. Goings is a mission-driven executive with a global perspective and a well-earned reputation for stepping into transitional and high-stakes environments to deliver strategic clarity, operational excellence, and measurable results. With over 20 years of experience spanning the nonprofit, arts & culture, corporate, and entrepreneurial sectors, Gina brings a unique blend of visionary leadership, hands-on management expertise, and a steadfast commitment to equity, community empowerment, and organizational integrity.

She has held senior leadership roles at nationally recognized institutions, including the Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio, where she served as Chief Development Officer, and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, where she served as Vice President of Institutional Advancement. In these positions, she led high-performing fundraising teams, board governance initiatives, capital projects, and brand transformations—raising millions in philanthropic support while strengthening internal operations, enhancing visibility, and deepening stakeholder engagement.

Most recently, Gina has applied her skills as an interim executive and strategic consultant, partnering with nonprofit organizations and mission-driven startups navigating leadership transitions or planning for growth. As Interim COO of Black Art Speaks, she led the organization’s first strategic planning process, developed a $1M+ operational budget, implemented new operational structures, and helped deliver a $450K public art project at a major civic venue. Her consulting work also includes fundraising, marketing, and organizational development support for small businesses.

A seasoned executive, Gina is especially skilled at building and leading cross-functional teams, optimizing internal systems, and mobilizing resources through strong philanthropic and community partnerships. Her fundraising successes span individual giving, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants, and government support, including record-setting years in both donor engagement and revenue generation. Equally effective behind the scenes or in the public eye, she has produced televised campaigns reaching over 85,000 viewers across major markets.

Gina’s leadership style is collaborative, agile, and grounded in empathy. She is known for building trust quickly, designing systems that scale, and uniting staff, board, and community around a shared mission—particularly during moments of change or uncertainty. Her cross-sector experience, including roles in hospitality, entertainment, banking, construction, and executive recruitment, enables her to bring creative, business-savvy solutions to nonprofit challenges.

A dedicated civic leader, Gina has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including as Senior Vice President of the Board of Trustees at Springer School & Center, a premier school for children with learning differences. She has also held board positions with Cincinnati Country Day School and Dress for Success Cincinnati, an organization focused on women’s empowerment. A long-time mentor and volunteer coach, Gina is deeply committed to advancing workforce development and educational equity.

A U.S. citizen with international experience in London and Toronto, Gina is also an avid reader, traveler, home renovator, gourmet cook, and wine enthusiast. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Political Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Gina is currently available for interim or fractional leadership roles where thoughtful, results-oriented guidance is needed to support organizations through growth, transition, or strategic realignment.
