Wanda Pierce

Wanda Pierce is an accomplished mission-driven leader with a record of success managing organizations and business units. She leads a consulting practice that capitalizes on more than 25 years of management experience in the nonprofit sector.
Wanda provides a range of services to nonprofits including serving as interim executive director/CEO for organizations in transition, conducting organizational assessments, developing strategic plans and proving board training. She is highly experienced in organizational leadership, finance and budget management, personnel management fundraising and development and program oversight and evaluation.

Over the past 7 years, Wanda has specialized in interim executive director/CEO services to organizations in transition. In addition to managing the organization’s staff during the transition, Wanda advises the board on the best nonprofit practices and supports their efforts as they conduct a comprehensive search for the permanent leader. Some of her interim leadership clients have included a homeless services nonprofit, a volunteer action center, a technology skills training organization early childhood education organization, an education and skills development nonprofit.

Over the course of her career, Wanda has served as the executive director/CEO of three nonprofits including: a direct service youth development nonprofit, a start-up nonprofit and a community foundation. She also held senior level communications positions with the national United Way.

Wanda has served on the board of directors for several nonprofits including most recently a regional nonprofit developer of affordable housing and a bi-lingual workforce development nonprofit focusing on training low-income individuals for jobs in the culinary profession. Wanda has led two community-wide civic committees for her community.

Wanda graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Economics cum laude and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School.
