Known as a passionate servant leader with experience of growing organizations and creating transformational change, Mark Ingrao’s executive leadership spans more than 23+ years. As a senior-level executive, he is capable of executing strategic plans and has extensive experience in partnership building, fundraising, recruiting volunteers and organizational management. He serves through visionary leadership, consensus building, and collaboration with a management style that is inclusive, positive, and innovative.
Ingrao is President of Aspen Strategies, a consulting LLC. Prior to Aspen Strategies, he was Interim President and CEO of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that, Ingrao was CEO of the Plumbing Heating and Cooling Contractors (PHCC) where he coordinated a strategic planning session in conjunction with the PHCC Board to set the course for their next five years. Before the national association, Ingrao was CEO of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) where he successfully led the organization through the Covid years by updating the operational structure, creating more efficiencies and a nimbler organization. Before NVBIA, Ingrao was the CEO of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce growing that organization from the 13 to the fifth largest chamber in the DMV over a 10-year span.
Ingrao currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Dulles Area Transportation Association. He most recently was the Chair of the Reston Hospital Board of Directors. He also served in leadership roles on various boards including Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce’s Executive as Treasurer; the University of Mary Washington’s Board of Visitors, as Secretary and Vice-Rector; Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, as Chairman; and Leadership Arlington’s Board of Regents, as Chairman.
Ingrao is currently a member of the Kitchen of Purpose Board where he successfully led its CEO search. Ingrao previously served on various community boards including the Fairfax County Economic Advisory Board; the Public Art Reston Board of Directors; John Marshall Bank’s Advisory Board; Fairfax County Affordable Dwelling Unit Advisory Board; Community Residence, Inc. Board of Directors, and Virginia Public Access Project Board of Directors.
A Washington DC native, raised in Northern Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from The University of Mary Washington, Ingrao lives in the Falls Church. He is a Certified Association Executive, Certified Compensation Professional, and graduate of Leadership Arlington’s founding class of 1999.
