Christopher Robert Owens has been an organization leader in the private, public and non-profit sectors. In 2021, Mr. Owens retired from the Office of the Kings County District Attorney (Brooklyn, NY), where he had served for seven years as the first Chief of The Re-Entry Bureau under District Attorney Eric Gonzalez and his predecessor, the late Kenneth P. Thompson. He recently concluded a one-year assignment with a small non-profit in New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley.
With an educational background that includes a Master of Public Affairs in Domestic Policy from Princeton University and a B.A. in Sociology from Harvard University, Mr. Owens has established himself as a strategic thinker and an institution builder. Christopher has worked in the fields of education, health care, criminal justice, corporate law and political campaign consulting.
Mr. Owens is committed to helping organizations grow and prosper through adherence to best practices, solid strategic decision making, commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion, and common sense. He has helped organizations survive and prosper after crises, and has served in elected offices. He is most proud of one habit — asking tough questions.
Christopher resides in New York City, enjoys songwriting, and is a proud parent of two sons.
